Introduction:
This course provides you with the knowledge and understanding to achieve competence in Financial and Managerial accounting at an Intermediate Level. The requirements of this course are based on nationally agreed standards of competence. The education and training scheme is designed to provide the maximum flexibility to suit delegates from a wide range of circumstances and with diverse backgrounds.

Study Mode & Location:
The duration of the course is 1-2 years and runs at various start times and dates throughout the year. The course is held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincents Road, Preston, PR2 8UR. With arrangement this course can be delivered in the workplace. Please contact Business Services for further details.

Course Content:
The units you will study are as follows: -

- Maintaining financial records and preparing accounts

- Recording and evaluating costs and revenues

- Preparing reports and returns

- Working with computers

- Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy, safe and productive working environment

You will be assessed via two examinations and a portfolio of evidence containing written assessments, skills tests, and work place evidence. Some observation of the learner at work will take place.

Assessment:
Assessment includes a formal examination.

How To Apply
You may need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser before enrolling on this course.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
