Short Description: This Level 3 course takes you through the principles and practice of 3D computer aided design for the construction industry, using modern, industrially standard software- Google SketchUP Pro 7.

Where will it take me? Successful completion of the course will enable students to progress to further study on 3D CAD packages including AutoCAD Architecture, 3D Studio Max or Solidworks.

What's it all about? This course aims to provide students with the necessary skills required for model generation using Google SketchUP Pro 7.
Course content:
- Refresher on AutoCAD tools and functions
- Importing drawings from other software
- Generation of various projects using Googole SketchUP
- Generating views/ walkthroughs
- Creation of custom libraries
- Sunlight factors
- Plotting drawings to scale

How will I be assessed? Assessment is portfolio based and is continuous throughout the course.
