The Health and Safety at Work Act requires that all those using any type of machine are adequately trained to do so.
Course Content:
• The potential hazards of use, how to identify and avoid them
• The interpretation of marking systems, carrying out visual checks and ring tests
• Speed to be adhered to in the wheel selection
• Abrasive wheel: characteristics, cutting action, composition and marking system
• How to mount a wheel and know the difference between dressing and truing a wheel
• How to operate safely
• Understanding the current legislations and where to get further information
• Demonstrating knowledge on abrasive wheel
• Abrasive wheel: characteristics, cutting action, composition and marking system
• Conclusions
This course will be held on a farm as centrally located as possible.
