As a mature student, I felt that the Salon North End training academy was the best option for me as it meant that I was still able to work full time and pursue my studies in the evenings. The NVQ level 2 and 3 courses were both practical and theory based, covering all aspects of beauty therapy and I learnt all of the skills that are required to become confident and competent in the industry, meaning that I was able to secure employment after the first year. I would recommend training in the private sector for anyone who wants to receive a better quality of learning at your own pace in a relaxed atmosphere.

It provides a structured proramme of assignments designed to develop both your confidence and your ability to speak in public. You can progress through the assignements at your own pace and you will. if you wish be assigned a mentor to help support you through the learning process. Listening to other speakers was also surprisingly entertaining and motivational.
Solent speakers are clearly a high achieving club with a freindly and supportive membership and an excellent training and mentoring programme. The initial welcome was warm and friendly and they quickly established my outcomes. TMy mentor explained the programme and took me through me with the level 1 (Competent Communicator) programme. Did my makeup course as part of my level 2 at the cottage training centre ancd have found Kim at the cottage very professional, helpful, friendly and a very easy learning experience in a lovely atmospere, make by jane arndele and is an excellent product with a days training from Steve one of Janes makeup artist.

Course instruction very useful as well as time to practice. Each product was explained fully.
Very good value for money and extremely useful to have the make up products to start you off.
