As a mature student, I felt that the Salon North End training academy was the best option for me as it meant that I was still able to work full time and pursue my studies in the evenings. The NVQ level 2 and 3 courses were both practical and theory based, covering all aspects of beauty therapy and I learnt all of the skills that are required to become confident and competent in the industry, meaning that I was able to secure employment after the first year. I would recommend training in the private sector for anyone who wants to receive a better quality of learning at your own pace in a relaxed atmosphere.

It provides a structured proramme of assignments designed to develop both your confidence and your ability to speak in public. The initial welcome was warm and friendly and they quickly established my outcomes. TMy mentor explained the programme and took me through me with the level 1 (Competent Communicator) programme. Did my makeup course as part of my level 2 at the cottage training centre ancd have found Kim at the cottage very professional, helpful, friendly and a very easy learning experience in a lovely atmospere, make by jane arndele and is an excellent product with a days training from Steve one of Janes makeup artist.

Having already attended two modules of my VTCT L2 course at The Cottage Training Centre, my expectations were that the Airbrush Tanning course would be as qualitative, informative, practically based and enjoyable as my last. I was not disappointed. I came away from the day feeling really positive that I had the tools and information to be successful in this area of the industry. The Trainer, Kim Sexton, packs the day full with the right amount of theory vs practical experience, encourages you to question and makes the day really enjoyable. The Trainer always responds quickly and thoroughly to emails and phone calls, the after-training support is great. Good value for money, I will be using the Cottage Training Centre for other courses also in the future.
