Course Title: Abuse
Overview:
The course will benefit all carers who work with the elderly/vulnerable/children in both the care home and domiciliary
setting.
It will explain the many different forms that abuse can take and what your immediate action should be to protect the individual.
Course Content:
The course covers:
What action you should take if you suspect abuse of any kind,
Such as the following:
- Physical abuse
- Financial abuse
- Emotional abuse
- Psychological abuse
- Neglect
- Discriminatory abuse
We will also cover the Whistle Blowing Procedure, discuss the government plans and documents that have been implemented, to tackle abuse and explore the effects that abuse can have on a person.
