About this course
Entry to the course is by interview including a Maths and English Assessment. An Intermediate Construction Award in Carpentry and the Health and Safety exam (CSCS). It is also a condition that you are employment in the Carpentry industry.

Who is this course for?
This is the final year of the Construction Award programme and is for learners who have successfully completed the Intermediate Construction Award (ICA). Learners should also be employed within the construction industry
What will I learn?
Through this course you will gain an understanding of the skills that relate to establishing the operational area, assisting in organising resources, assisting in progressing operations, co-ordinate with erecting carcassing, co-ordinating and installing first and second fixings, and producing timber products.
Assessment
Learners will complete a range of practical tasks, projects, written assignments and produce a portfolio of evidence. An external examination will be completed towards the end of the course.
On Completion Achievement / Progression
On completion of this qualification, learners will gain an Advanced Craft Award and through your work on-site, this can also help you achieve a NVQ Level 3. Once completed, you can progress onto a site supervisory programme such as a National Award, Certificate or Diploma or an HNC in Construction.
