This course offers mature students an excellent opportunity to progress to university. You will attend 2 full days per week. Access will help you to develop your skills and self-confidence so you can successfully return to studying and progress to university. We have long-established links with local universities which many of our students progress to. Experienced tutors will support you to apply for the university course of your choice.

Course programme
You will need to complete a portfolio of work to show you have achieved the required number of credits in your chosen subjects and study skills.

Entry Requirements
You must be at least 19 years of age and have GCSE English Language (or Literature) and maths at grade C or above. Additionally, a science at GCSE grade C is desirable (if you are looking to going into teaching it is essential).
Please note: Level 2 qualifications cannot be accepted as alternatives to GCSEs and it is not possible to do GCSEs alongside the Access course.
All applicants are advised to take responsibility for checking entry requirements for their chosen degree course before applying for the Access course.
You will also have an interview to assess your suitability for the course.
