Description
This course is designed for mature learners who may be returning to education after many years, and is intended to build the skills and confidence required to enable them to move on to a range of Level 3 programmes.

What will I study?
You will study; maths, English, IT, personal development studies, health studies, an individual research project, sociology and psychology.
How will I learn?
You will learn in a number of ways and engage in a wide variety of activities, from traditional class discussions to up-to-the-minute interactive technologies. There are opportunities for individual and group work, and as mature learners you will be encouraged to express and debate your thoughts and opinions on a wide range of different topics.
How will I be assessed?
The course is continuously assessed by regular assignments using a variety of methods. Traditional essays and assessments are balanced with interactive presentations, role-plays and hands-on demonstrations of the learners skills.
