The subjects most suited to your choice of career and/or higher education qualification are:
Education and Teaching;
English for Teaching;
Biology;
Literary Studies;
Psychology;
Sociology.
You will be advised at interview as to which subjects you should choose by staff who have vast experience in a wide array of career areas and excellent contacts with a host of local and national higher education providers, including many universities.
The programme includes weekly study skills sessions and level 3 English to prepare you for higher education, including group and one-to-one support tutorials.
You will be required to study GCSE English or Maths where appropriate to do so and there will be the opportunity to improve your computing and IT skills via a number of individually tailored packages.

About this course
You are required to attend three to four days a week, in a combination of:
Mornings: 9.30am-12.30pm;
Afternoons: 1.15pm-3.15pm;
Evenings: 6-9pm (please note only certain subjects are available in the evening; Education and Teaching, English for Teaching, Psychology and Literary Studies are daytime only).

Course programme
This programme is suitable for students aged 21 or over. Applicants aged 19 or 20 will also be considered if they have experience outside full-time education, for example through work or travel. Relevant work experience will be taken into account.
You will achieve a nationally recognised Access certificate and develop the confidence to go to university. The `QAA Approved' Access certificate is validated by one of the leading Awarding Bodies (OCN London) and is a recognised entry qualification to universities and colleges across the United Kingdom. In addition, you can gain certificates in GCSE English and Maths.
The programme is taught by a mixture of classroom teaching, key skills, tutorials, assignments and self-directed study. You will have a variety of assessment methods including essays, presentation, seminars and time-constrained assignments.
