Year 1
You will learn about the reporting frameworks and ethical principles
that underpin financial reporting for different types of business organisation (sole traders, partnerships, limited liabilitypartnerships and companies). You will also look at forms of equity, reserves and loan capital and the reasons for the existence of a regulatory framework.
The key features of a published set of financial statements, draft statutory financial statements for a limited company and draft consolidated financial statements will also be studied. You will also interpret financial statements using ratio analysis
