The Diploma stage is the final step to achieving a qualification that is recognised as the gold standard for Accounting Technicians and can be compared to training at the first stage of a degree. Employers have confidence in Level 4 students – they know successful AAT students have been through a sophisticated, independently controlled assessment process and will be able to work competently.

Books are estimated to cost £100 a year and students will need to purchase these themselves.

AAT charge student members £41 as an initial joining fee, plus an annual fee of £88 (2015/16 figures). This is payable directly to the AAT.
