The course consists of sixteen independent units where candidates can seek competency for every unit completed with a pass mark. Every unit requires 60 hours of study and the learners can take any unit independently without any prerequisites, although units are classed as level H1 and H2. A university may require the learner to have achieved at least 3 Distinctions (H2 level) and 4 Merits in order to be admitted to the final year BA/BSc honours degree programme.
