This course is an Intermediate course suitable for anyone working in Accounts departments or who has completed L2 Foundation.

The AAT Intermediate NVQ Level 3 in Accounting builds upon the foundation skills and knowledge provided by the NVQ Level 2. This level introduces more complicated accounting tasks, including the preparation of final accounts for sole traders and partnerships. You will also learn how to maintain cost accounting records and how to prepare reports and returns. The AAT Accounting Qualification is based on the practical skills and knowledge you need to fulfill an Accounting Technician role. The syllabus is regularly reviewed to ensure that it is up-to-date with current work practice and that you gain the necessary experience that any prospective employer would expect.

Assessment at each level of the scheme, students are assessed against the Standards of Competence by a combination of Examination (set and marked by the AAT)and Skills Test (assessed by the College).

Fees quoted include all examinations and tuition fees over the length of the course. Fees will be waived for students who are aged 16-18 at the time of starting the course. Fees may be reduced or waived if the student is in receipt of a recognised means-tested benefit (proof of benefit status will be required). All quotations, including remissions and waivers, apply only to students who have been resident in England or the EU for the last three years. You may be able to get help with paying the course fees, including paying for your course in instalments.

There is an additional cost for AAT annual membership of £69.00 payable directly to AAT. There is also a one off joining fee of £32.00 for students who are new to AAT and have never previously been registered.
