What will I study?
The programme requires students to be able to perform and demonstrate their ability in a range of accounting and associated tasks.

The units undertaken are:
Unit 8 Contributing to the Management of Performance and the Enhancement of Value
Unit 9 Contributing to the Planning and Control of Resources
Unit 10 Managing Systems and People in the Accounting Environment
Unit 11Drafting Financial Statements (Accounting Practice, Industry and Commerce)
Unit 15 Operating a Cash Management and Credit Control System

How will I learn?
A Variety of teaching methods are used, including formal teaching, guided/individual work and workshops.

How will I be assessed?
By portfolio of work prepared and assessed in-course: by devolved assessments set by AAT and by three central exams set and marked by AAT.

Where could it lead?
Once youve completed your studies and you become a full member, you are entitled to use the letters MAAT after your name. You can also register to work for yourself - the AAT has 1,600 members in practice offering accounting and taxation services to small businesses and the public.

Once youve achieved the AAT Accounting Qualification, you may be eligible for exemptions from the foundation stage exams of all the UK charted accountancy bodies.
