Course programme
This course will start with an overview of the current financial reporting regime for small entities in the UK. It will then move on to a detailed consideration of the key sources of relevant regulation and legislation. The course will close with a review of future UK developments for small entities.
Programme includes:
• Company law for small entities including:
- limits
- accounting simplifications
- formats and abbreviations
• FRSSE 2008 (including accounting treatments and disclosures compared to full UK GAAP)
• Related parties and Directors' transactions under the CA 2006 (the basis for the FRSSE disclosures)
• Micro entities
• Small charities (combining the FRSSE with the SORP 2005)
• The ASB proposals for the future
