Core content

The course includes a number of calculations and practical examples around AS design and operation. The second part of the day is focused on BNR, starting with the understanding of the principles and requirements for nitrification, denitrification and biological phosphorus removal. Peter Vale, Senior Strategist - Wastewater R&D at Severn Trent, often acts as guest lecture, detailing his practical experience on BNR, an overview on Anammox and chemical struvite precipitation.
