- Classes 2, 3,4,5,6,8,& 9
- Packages and Tanks

AIMS:
To provide the candidate with knowledge of the hazards and legal requirements for the carriage of prescribed dangerous goods.
OBJECTIVES:
Successful candidates will demonstrate a good understanding of the hazards associated with the transportation of dangerous goods by road transport. Successful candidates will receive Scottish Qualification Authority certification.

COURSE CONTENT
ADR - (The Carriage of Dangerous Goods)
Road Traffic Regulations 1992
(Training of Drivers of Vehicles carrying Dangerous Goods)
If you are a Driver, owner driver, and in some instances, an operator to whom the above regulations apply, you are since December 1994 required by law to hold a current ADR Certificate.
Applications for the Regulations
These regulations apply to drivers of vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of more than 3.5 tonnes for packaged goods and more than 3000 litres for tankers.
Drivers who have not attended the necessary Course and passed the examinations will not be able to drive vehicles carrying Dangerous substances.

Upon completion of the relevant examinations, answer sheets are checked by Scottish Qualification Authority who inform the DVLA of the results and the certificates are posted direct to the driver.
If a candidate should fail a module examination, a re-sit must be taken within 16 weeks to avoid having to retake the complete course.
