Who is this course for? This course is for those who have some basic computer knowledge and want to improve their word processing and written communication skillls e.g. letter writing, posters, leaflets, newsletters.

Previous knowledge required: Some basic computer knowledge is required.

What will I study? Your will study: The use of ICT in society Computer terminology Word processing: planning, drafting, proof reading and producing a variety of different texts/ documents.

What else will I do? This course offers you the opportunity to study on a course that meets your individual need/s. You will work in a small group in a friendly and supportive environment.

How will I be assessed? You will be assessed at regular intervals throughout your College programme. Following an initial assessment, you will be assessed with coursework tasks and assignments.

What will I achieve? You will have the opportunity to achieve an Agred Cymru certificate (E2 - L1): Communication Skills through ICT: Word processing'

What can I do afterwards? You can: move on to other Essential Skills courses e.g. English, Maths, ICT join other College computer courses e.g. Internet and Email, Digital Photography, CLAIT

Materials required: Note pad, pen and file.
