This brand new (on Jan 1st 2018), RQF listed Diploma in Adult Care home study course replaces the old Health & Social Care Diploma.
Designed to be studied independently or as a follow on from Level 2 and aims to develop knowledge and understanding of a range of topics fundamental to working in health and social care.

About this course

Students can expect to learn more about the role of the health and social care worker, the key principles of safeguarding and protecting in health and social care, the causes and spread of infection, the duty of care in health and social care settings, and much more!

No previous qualifications are required.

A placement either employed or voluntary is required for a minimum of 1 day per week for the duration of the whole Course. Placement must be in an adult care setting.

Students will be required to nominate an “Expert Witness” within the workplace. This will be a suitably qualifed Supervisor/manager (Level 4 or above) willing to witness and feedback to you on practical tasks carried out within each assignment. This individual will be required to sign statments confirming individual tasks have been carried out.
