2. Course description Apprenticeships allow 16+ year olds to start work and earn a wage while learning new skills that lead to nationally recognised qualifications. Apprenticeships are designed with the help of employers in the industry so they offer a structured programme that takes Apprentices through the skills needed to do a job well. Most of an Apprentices training takes place on the job but they will also have to complete off-the-job training within the College.This Apprenticeship Programme is a national programme for young people who want to gain a recognised qualification and train in their chosen field at the same time. The Level 3 Apprenticeship is for those working as a Nursery Worker/Supervisor Childminder or a Nursery Nurse. This Apprenticeship is for people who work with children aged from birth to 5 years (and their families) in settings or services whose main purpose is childrens care learning and development.Students will be employed as Apprentices and will cover a range of subjects which include:CommunicationEquality and DiversityPersonal DevelopmentHealth & SafetyPrinciples of CareChild Development
