For all professionals working within supportive palliative care, whether within health, social, voluntary or pastoral care, who are advancing their communication skills, such as allied health professionals, vocational practitioners, specialist nurse, advanced clinical practitioners and medical practitioners. This short course will be facilitated by a range of experienced clinicians, such as senior nurses, medical consultants, lecturers, all having undertaken extended training in advanced communication skills.

Course programme
This 2 day course will provide the opportunity for students to develop and assess, through reflection and role play, their individual communication skills and needs whilst evaluating relevant theoretical principles and their application to practice. Key skills and behaviours will be practised of your chosen specific context, following your identified learning needs.
Those students who have chosen an attendance only option, which is non accredited and non-assessed, will receive a certificate, which will support the revalidation process and good practice.
