The IAM Advanced Diploma in Administrative Management is recognised as a Level 5 programme within the UK Government's National Qualification Framework. A high-level course, and (as with the Diploma) an established, internationally-recognised professional qualification, providing a sound base for progression to the BA(Hons) Business Management!
The course comprises five core units as follows:

- Introduction to strategic thinking
- The customer-focused organisation
- Managing change and culture
- 3. Administrative Management of Resources
- Managing projects
- Managing financial resources
- Managing expenditure
- Managing facilities
- 4. Human Resource Management and Practise.

- 5. Administrative Management Case Study or Work Project Report.
Recommended total study hours: The Institutes' suggested Learning Hours for this Award are 200 hours per unit. Our experience suggests that actual hours of study to achieve the Advanced Diploma are lower where the student has relevant higher-level practical knowledge and experience.
Suggested period of study: Deltic recognise the challenging (and rewarding) nature of this course, and that individual prior knowledge, learning style and personal circumstances, will all affect the overall time to be taken in completing this course. Nonetheless, generally we would advise students to sit the course over two examination sittings, giving a total period of study of around 12 months. It is important that the student recognises the greater breadth and depth of this course compared to the Diploma.
Assessment method: 3-hour sat examination per Unit. Optional Work Project Report in place of Unit 5 Case Study paper.
Award: Achievement of the Advanced Diploma offers the chance to upgrade to Full membership of the IAM, and the right to use the professional designation Incorporated Administrative Manager.
Please note that it is a requirement for students to be in membership of the Institute at the time of examination / examination entry.
Study Progression:
Upon successful completion of the iam Advanced Diploma, students can progress to the final year of a BA (Hons) Business Management. The iam has developed this degree with its partner, Management Development Partnership, as a distance learning programme validated by the University of Wales. Please see the iam website for further details
