A Primary Medical Degree recognised by the General Medical Council of the UK, i.e. MBChB or MBBS.

Course programme

Structure

Courses are divided into modules, and students on this course take modules totalling 60 credits.

Required Modules

You are required to take:

  • Research Skills (online, 15 credits)

  • Clinical leadership (online, 15 credits)

In addition, depending on your medical specialty of choice, you are required to take a medical specialty module worth 30 credits:

Students who select Children’s Health, will be able to choose from the following face-to-face medical specialty modules:

  • Paediatric Cardiology (30 credits)

  • Neonatal Medicine (30 credits)

  • Paediatric Respiratory & Allergy (30 credits)

  • Paediatric Hepatology, Renal and Gastroenterology (30 credits)

  • Paediatric Critical Care (30 credits)

  • Paediatric Mental Health (30 credits)

Students who select Haematology will be required to complete the face-to-face Clinical Haematology module (30 credits).

Students who select Women’s Health will be required to complete face-to-face Fundamentals of Women’s and Children’s Health (30 credits).
