Adventures in Music

Adventures in Music was designed by our principal teacher, Lindsay MacKenzie.

Course Content

Sessions involve the following elements:

• Singing with words for expression, mood and most importantly, for fun

• Solfege singing & ear training to encourage musical expression and pitch awareness

• Rhythm training through games, ostinatos, movement and percussion playing

• Music appreciation through movement and stories - short contrasting extracts specially arranged for the course are used.

• Movement/Rhythm step using the whole body to feel the pulse of music improves co-ordination and is fun for children and parents

Lessons are held weekly with parents attending, last half an hour and
cost £4. A free taster session is always offered.
