(NB. You will not receive a full AED / CPR certificate until you have also completed the practical part of the course)

Course review:

This fantastic online theory course is designed to complement the practical element of the AED course we provide.

Nothing can replace instructor led training when it comes to the practical skills such as CPR and safe use of a defibrillator but each AED user should have a good level of understanding of why we need a defibrillator, how they work and how to use one - e-learning is a perfect medium for this.

"Short video/computer self-instruction courses, with minimal or no instructor coaching, combined with hands-on practice can be considered as an effective alternative to instructor-led BLS and AED courses" Resuscitation Council Guidelines October 2010

At imperative training this knowledge can be aquired through an instructor led course or via e-learning.

This online course is part one if you like of our standard course, the theory element. And we are trying give all our clients the option of how they wish to learn how to use a defibrillator safely. Ultimately saving our customers time in the classroom should they choose it.

Option one: Book our standard course and one of our experienced trainers comes to your premises and teaches both parts of the course, part one theory and part two CPR and the practical use of a defibrillator. Each course requires between 3 - 4 hours of contact time

Option two: Book our standard course, take part one: theory - online, anytime, anywhere you like, at your own pace (must be completed before you take the practical element) after you have completed the theory element one of our experienced trainers will then visit your premises and teach you the practical element of the course: CPR and safe use fo a defibrillator. This route should only require 1- 1.1/2 hours of contact time with your trainer and is perfect for those clients who are time sensitive. It also means we can teach alot more students in a day!

If you have an AED on your premises it makes sense to get the best training possible on how to use that defibrillator and our blended training solution may just be the best solution for you and your company.
Our short AED user course is nationally recognised through the CPD certificaton service and exceeds the guidance requirements from the Resuscitation Council UK because each of our students needs to pass the written and practical assessment to be awarded a certificate.

Our course is also the ONLY AED course in the UK fully supported and endorsed by Laerdal Medical one of the world leaders in training and resuscitation solutions

This short course is taken at your own pace but should only take around 30 minutes to an hour to complete.
