Course programme

This course is aimed at newcomers to accessory making and students who wish to know more about where and how to resource materials for Prescott & Mackay making classes and/or their own projects.

Attendances will be welcomed at 12pm at Dalston Junction station, where Selina will give a brief introduction to the afternoon’s schedule.

Students will visit different providers specialised in leathers, fittings and tools.

Selina will introduce every supplier and advise about issues such as:

  • Sorts of leather and types suitable for each purpose.
  • Fittings in detail, qualities and different uses.
  • Uses and differences between tools.
  • Components and handles.

Students will have some time to browse at each place, and Selina will advise them on their choices and different ways to achieve the results they are looking for. This information will be an essential and practical tool to use in your future visits to these and other suppliers. At the end of the visit, students will be given a list with a range of choices.
