Afternoon Skills (English)

This course combines with the morning General English class (15 hours) to form the intensive course (22.5 hours/week)

This course is designed to address the needs of students for intensive skills practice in speaking, listening, reading and writing. The skills are integrated and will involve appropriate authentic materials to motivate and encourage learners.

Much of the content of the course will be negotiated with you and the other students so that it meets your needs as much as possible.

In this course, you will improve your:

Speaking
We will focus on fluency, how to organise language for your different purposes and other practical aspects of the language.

Listening
We will focus on extensive listening in real life situations for different purposes.

Reading
This part of the course will focus on longer, general interest texts and texts based on your needs. This will improve your general reading skills as well as reading skills relevant to your situation - reading for work, study and leisure.

Writing
In the writing sessions, we will focus on building confidence and skill in written English. The kind of texts will range from personal letters and casual emails, to professional emails and essays. As always, we will work hard to give you skills you want and need to learn.
