That's why this course aims to increase your knowledge of agriculture, and give you sound practical skills and up-to-date technical experience.

What Will I Learn

A range of topics will be covered during the course including Livestock Husbandry, Crop and Grassland Production and Machinery Operation.

How Will I Learn

Practical work is supported in the classroom and workshops with lectures on livestock, crops and machinery. You get experience of the wider agriculture industry and its modern specialist businesses through links built up by the lecturing staff.

Progression Opportunities

With the National Certificate in Agriculture you will gain training and experience in the industry and you might aspire to a variety of jobs such as Stock Person, Tractor Operator or General Farm Worker. Alternatively, successful learners may progress onto SVQ2 or SVQ3/Modern Apprenticeship programme or HNC in Agriculture.
