Who is this course for?
This is a one-year course for students interested in a career in the Air Cabin Crew and Airport Passenger Handling.

What will I learn?
Air Cabin Crew You will learn through theory and practical sessions to deal effectively with the health, safety and security of air passengers, abnormal, dangerous/emergency situations and passengers¿ needs.This course will also include a foreign language, community first aid, travel destinations, fire fighting and slide evacuation. You will also visit British Airways¿ training ground at Heathrow and take part in practical sessions such as plane evacuation, fire training and survival. Survival sessions on water will also take place in a local swimming pool. The course also covers interviewing skills which are essential to your progression into the travel industry.Airport Passenger Handling Full time ¿ 18 weeks The course is appropriate for those individuals who are seeking employment `ground side¿ within the airport. It gives students the skills to deal effectively with the processing of aircraft passengers, the boarding procedure for aircraft passengers and the procedures for disembarking of airline passengers.

Assessment
Tutors will assess your work throughout the year on practical activities, assignment work and multiple choice tests. You will be required to sit an online end of course multiple choice test.

On Completion Achievement / Progression
You will be able to apply for jobs within the travel industry. Many past students have progressed into airlines and airports.
