The awareness session will benefit all carers who work with clients suffering from Alzheimer's/ Dementia.

It is vital that you have an understanding of the type of behaviour you may be faced with and of how you can support the client and their family.

The awareness session is applicable to all care settings

• Different types of dementia
• Early signs and symptoms of dementia
• Demography of dementia
• Real life scenarios of dementia sufferers
• Mental health statistics

Certificate:

At the end of the session, learners will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance which can be referenced to the Health and Social Care NVQ's.
