This module forms part of the New Dimensions Passport, but can also be taken as a separate course, for those who do not wish to complete the full programme.
Learning outcomes and objectives
- To understand the basis of person-centred care and where it comes from.
- To consider the practical implications of using a person-centre approach in our work.
- To identify how a person-centred approach can influence the care environment and team work.
- To discover how person-centred care can help us overcome obstacles when caring for people with dementia.
Half day courses usually run from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. / 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Organising training at your place of work is particularly valuable for group learning and delivers direct cost savings for more than five people. It allows the training session to be geared to specific issues which affect your workplace and your team including, if relevant, working with your particular equipment.
