An online interactive courses designed for all health care professionals who may be involved in the management and treatment of anaphylactic reactions.
The course involves analysis of case studies and treatment judgments based on information you have been presented with on the course.
As anaphylaxis may be difficult to differentiate from other life threatening or non-life threatening conditions the aim of the course is to ensure that a standardise approach is used when dealing with these situations.

• Use the ABCDE approach to recognise sick patients
• Define the mechanisms of anaphylaxis
• Discuss how anaphylactic reactions occur
• Discuss the difference between IgE and non-IgE mediated reactions
• Deliver the appropriate treatment in an emergency
When you have completed the course you will be assessed on your knowledge and comprehension of anaphylaxis. This includes analysis of case studies and application of the ABCDE approach, including treatments which may be applicable in your clinical setting.
Once you have achieved the learning outcomes and assessment as described above you will be issued a certificate of course completion.
The course follows the Resuscitation Council (UK) 2008 Guidance on The Emergency Treatment of Anaphylactic Reactions.
