Animation: Beginners

Animation: Beginners is an exciting short course packed with timeless animation principles that can be used for more traditional character animation or adapted for a more contemporary use in motion graphics projects. During this three-day course, you will start with the 12 Principles of Animation, adapting their dynamism to producing character turnarounds and expression sheets following industry-standard rules. You will also get the chance to prepare a dynamic-looking portfolio with your creations and hone your skills at developing characters, content and assets that will enhance your animation, illustration, comics and toys design.

Through a series of lectures and workshops you will develop the principles further through character movement principles and lines of action, these invaluable animation tips and tricks go beyond technical skills and form an important part of the armour of visual artists and designers that create visual narratives.

Please note: in this short course we will cover the groundwork and fundamentals of animation principles and create drawing content; we will not produce animation.
