2. Course description If you want to develop a solid base of technical skills, along with an understanding of how to make a professional quality animation, then this is the course for you. The course aims to prepare you for progression into higher education and employment and you will leave the course with professional training in the most up to date and relevant industry software such as the full Adobe Creative Suite, Dragonframe, 3DS Max and Cinema 4D.  Students will also be supported in applying for jobs and building a suitable portfolio for interviews and prospective clients.

Entry requirements You must have ONE of the following:      Level 2 Diploma in Art & Design, Fashion or Media at merit, plus GCSE English or Maths at grade A*-C     4 GCSEs at grades A*-C, including English or Maths     Equivalent qualifications - Functional Skills may be accepted in place of GCSE Maths and/or English  A portfolio of art & design work is required.  This course is aimed at students who want to develop a solid base of technical skills, along with an understanding of the real design process. It would suit those who are aiming to gain employment in the design industry, to work as freelance designers or continue into further or higher education. Applications from mature students without formal qualifications are welcomed.  Adults 19+ who have industry experience BUT do not have the necessary qualifications can be invited in for interview. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method Assessment is continuous and will consist of a portfolio of reports, presentations and creative projects plus a final major project at the end of the year.
