If you have in interest in understanding the world around you and enjoy investigating problems then this is the course for you. The chemistry units will help you gain skills used by laboratory technicians, the physics units will help you understand about the universe and how we use physics in everyday life and the biology units investigate the impact of human activity on the environment. You may also study astronomy and consider such things as the birth and death of a star, methods used in the exploration of space and the main components of the solar system

Entry Requirements

You will need at least 4 GCSEs grade D or above including Maths, English and Science

Delivery and Assessment

You will be assessed through practical work and assignments and an exam.

Progression

After this course you may choose to move onto the Level 3 in Applied Science or the Forensic Science Course. You may also choose to change to other areas of study like sport or health and social care. Alternatively you may choose to enter employment as a laboratory technician.
