Description:
Progression awards are ideal if you want to gain an understanding of electrical engineering principles and a range of skills. This award is aimed at people already working in the electrical engineering industry. You will complete two core units, 'Developing self and working safely with others' and 'Selecting materials, moving loads and applying quality control procedure' and two optional units including: wiring and testing electrical circuits; building, maintenance, and testing electronic equipment; installation, maintenance and testing of instrumentation; using PLC systems; maintaining electrical engineering equipment; and installing electrical wiring support systems.
Progression:
City & Guilds 6958 electrical and electronic servicing consumer/ commercial electronics or an alternative City & Guilds course, appropriate to the needs of the student.
