Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Level 4

You will study for:

• Level 4 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals
• Level 4 Diploma in Computing and Systems Development

The course has the following mandatory units:

• Business Skills for e-Commerce
• Computer Systems
• Employability and Professional Development
• Health and Safety in ICT
• Develop Own Effectiveness and Professionalism

The course also includes a range of optional units such as:

• CISCO CCNA 1 and 2
• Database Design
• Web Design
• Programming in Java or C#
• Network Operating Systems
• Networking Technologies
• Digital Forensics
• Network Security
• Working with Hardware and Software
• Technical Fault Diagnosis
• System Operation
• Technical Advice and Guidance
• Testing ICT Systems

Entry Requirements

You must have an employer to support you through your Apprenticeship and give you time off work to attend college.  Many people find their own job or are already employed, but if not college staff can try to help find you employment.  There can be no guarantee of employment, however.

• Level 3 Extended Diploma / Diploma in IT
• Level 3 Apprenticeship in IT Software, Web and Telecoms
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
