2. Course description This course is designed for people who are everyday users of computers and who want to know more about ICT . The awareness of the impact of Information Technology on individuals organisations and society is covered in some detail. Both AS and A Level courses are concerned with the safety security and communication of stored information in the context of a sound academic knowledge base. The A Level component extends all these themes.

3. Entry requirements Five or more GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths. You also need to have achieved at least one GCSE grade B. Also subject to QCA score. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method AS - Two written exams each lasting one and a half hours. A2 - Module 3 - One two hour examination. Module 4 - Coursework project report (worth 20% of the whole A Level).
