The Programme
A six unit award equivalent to an A Level incorporating Architecture, Surveying, Health & Safety, Computer Aided Design, Technology & Services and Management. Time will be spent investigating the dynamic role of construction and will provide an ideal vehicle either for further/higher education or career in construction.
The Programme Content
The programme of study includes: Health & Safety, Construction & the Built Environment, Construction Technology and design, Science and Materials, Surveying and Graphical Detailing. Visits to local construction sites are included where possible. Students will also study a number of A Level courses alongside the National Award.
Progression / Careers
On successful completion of the course, students can progress onto the BTEC National Certificate in Construction.
