Is this course right for me?

This course is ideal for anyone who would like to work within the construction industry in a more supervisory role or at managerial level.

What will I be learning?

You will be learning core design principles and applications including: designing, principles and applications; undertake a group project; science and materials; analytical methods; management principles and applications;
health, safety and welfare;
refurbishments and adaptation
environment.

How will I learn?

You will be required to complete internally set assignments for each unit. All work will be internally assessed by the course tutors.
Finally you will produce a group project and present your findings to other students in your class.

What else might I want to know?

Teaching is structured using lectures, seminars, tutorials, individual and group projects and industrial visits.

You may be asked to contribute something towards site visit costs (Transport etc).

You will need your own personal protective equipment for these visits.

What can I do afterwards?

On successful completion of the Higher National Certificate you could further your academic studies by progressing to an honours degree course and/or continue your career as a construction professional.
