Art and Design AS and A2 Full Time

This course provides you with a focus on art and design practice and the integration of theoretical knowledge and understanding.

You will have an opportunity to develop your ideas through experimentation with a range of materials, media and processes. Graphic design will be an element of this course.

You will require 5 GCSEs at Grades A*- C including Art or evidence from an artistic ability in the form of a comprehensive portfolio verified by the Art teachers.

You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required.

The AS course is divided into two separate units: Unit 1 provides opportunities to generate practical work, ideas and research from primary and contextual sources. You will experiment with media and processes, and develop and refine your ideas, presenting your outcomes.
