The programme is designed for students who want to strengthen their creative skills through a variety of materials and techniques. The first year is skills-based as the students develop their knowledge mainly through practical work.
During the second year, the students are provided with a small individual studio space to develop the ability to work more independently. The second year culminates in a final major project which is shown as part of the end of course exhibition.
The course functions mainly as a progression route to Higher Education but includes a second year enterprise pathway for learners wishing to progress to industry.
