We make a number of research visits, draw and take photographs on location, and add depth to our research through written and practical investigations

Where does it lead?
Many students go on to Foundation Courses and specialist degrees in Design or Art. Many are engaged in degree courses outside Art, such as History, Politics, Economics and English. This subject can lead to a wide range of careers including museum and gallery work and teaching.
Other information
Regular visits are made to galleries in Brighton and London, as well as trips to Venice, Florence, Paris or Barcelona. Students also have access to the Art Enrichment programme of visiting artists.

TOPICS COVERED
AS Level
\ Coursework and exam project involve practical and written research work on selected topics. \ You will present your research as display sheets, a book of assembled materials or a website. \ Our practical workshops will allow you to develop a real understanding of the processes involved in making great art. \ Topics covered range from local architecture, through the main movements of the twentieth century, to young British artists.
