‘Accept who you are then project yourself with integrity. That, and not a trend, is really the basis of looking elegant’, Stefano Pilati, YSL Creative Director

Living in London we are spoilt for choice with clothes on offer. There are hundreds of different shops and online stores offering a huge variety of different garments and styles. Let’s just consider skirts for a second. There are pencil skirts, flared skirts, straight skirts, mini skirts, asymmetric skirts and full skirts. Furthermore, those come in different colours, lengths and fabrics. And that’s just skirts! To many of us it can become overwhelming. So we find ourselves trying on lots of different clothes, only to find out that they don’t look quite right. Then we stress, think we are not slim enough and that’s why nothing fits, and shopping becomes a bit of nightmare. Sounds familiar? The trouble is that even if we do have some idea of what our body shape is, most of us don’t have a clue how to pick our clothes to flatter it.
