Every lesson will focus on a different theme which may include working with ancient primary sources; the deployment of art in ancient identity construction; modern reception of ancient Greek and Roman artistic output; archaeological approaches to discovering, documenting and reconstructing the ancient past;.

You will be taught through presentations using visual images, student contributions, work with relevant ancient texts translated into English, class discussion and quizzes. There may be some very short ‘homework’ reading between classes, but each session will be still accessible if you are unable for any reason to complete this. You may also wish to undertake some of the further study and reading suggested on the hand-outs that will support each class.
