Is Dance for you?
You will enjoy and benefit from Dance if you:
  • love dancing in all its forms;
  • would like to study the underlying theory of dance as well as its practical side;
  • are considering a career in the performing arts, but would like to specialise in dance rather then be a generalist.

Dance and your future
For some students this course may prepare for a more specialist dance course and eventually a dancing career. It is also an excellent complement to a range of other A level courses.
Past students have gone on to study Dance and Performance at colleges as diverse as LIPA (the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts), Liverpool John Moore, the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, The Urdang Academy and Mountview.
Visits and Vistors
Theatre trips to watch professional choreography are arranged regularly. Recent trips include Sadler's Wells to see Zero Degrees, the New Wimbledon Theatre to see Nutcracker, Stomp at the Cambridge Corn Exchange and the Royal Opera House to watch the world premieres of Wheeldon's D.G.V and Macgregor's Chroma and Infra.
