AS/A2 Level Art & Design (Textiles)

You will develop your practical skills within a range of techniques exploring and experimenting with new ways of communicating your personal ideas and concepts. You will become familiar with contemporary and historical references and opportunities will be provided to use techniques and materials used by contemporary designers and practitioners. You will learn how to analyse and critically evaluate work, demonstrating an understanding of complex issues involved in Textiles. You will benefit through the development of researching, technical and conceptual skills. Your projects progress in a personal way allowing you to pursue your individual interests with the Textiles field. All classes will be delivered at Park Lane Campus. Students can progress onto a broad range of Textile courses at Universities and Colleges. These range from Art to Architecture, including Textiles, Interior and Fashion Design, Illustration, 3D Design, Graphic Design. If you are aged 19 or over and considering enrolling on a further education course at Level 3 or above, you may be entitled to an Advanced Learner Loan to help with course fees.
