Assessment
There are three modules in the AS course, one of which (20%) is coursework. As well as testing practical skills this coursework also tests research and communication skills. There are a further three exams in the A2 level year, and more coursework in the form of an extended practical investigation.
Progression Opportunities
A high percentage of students will go on to university to study Physics or closely associated subjects, such as Mathematics or branches of Engineering, for which A level or AS Physics is often a prerequisite.
