The Nutritional Therapy Science Access Course (NTSAC) aims to give students a solid grounding in the core science subjects that relate to nutrition, and is the first step towards becoming a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist.

Level 2 education including maths and English GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent is required.
Nutritional Therapy Science Access Certificate

Successful completion of this course makes it easy for you to progress on to study the Nutritional Therapy Diploma Course (NTDC).

Course programme
Module One: Chemistry
This module explores the composition, structure and properties of substances and the interactions between them, and covers three core areas:
- Inorganic Chemistry - the study of the structure, properties, and reactions of organic compounds and organic materials
- Physical Chemistry - the study of macroscopic, atomic, subatomic, and particulate phenomena in chemical systems in terms of the principles, practices, and concepts of physics
- Organic Chemistry - the study of the structure, properties, and reactions of organic compounds and organic materials
This module introduces learners to the study of life and living organisms, including their physical structure, chemical composition, function, development and evolution at the microscopic level.
Module Three: Anatomy and PhysiologyThis module is with concerned with the study of the structure of organisms and their parts and takes learners on a journey of discovery through the human body.
Each of the three modules you will study will be assessed by means of an essay, report, exam, multiple choice test, or a combination of these.
