This one day training course covering legislation, safety, risk assessment, operation of vehicle and rider techniques is designed to cover the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) for operators that use ATVs as part of their work equipment or transport. The course will briefly cover routine servicing and maintenance of machines. The use of the machine with trailers, trailed implements and carrying loads can also be covered if required. Although individual competence assessment is not part of the programme it can be arranged by individuals separately upon completion of the training.
Additional Information Candidates must be 16 years old or over to attend this courseCandidates will be expected to provide their own safety/work boots, gloves and outdoor clothing when attending the course.
Additional QualificationsThe City & Guilds NPTC has a competence assessment schedule available for this. (All Terrain Vehicle Handling) http://www.nptc.org.uk
Fees for both the registration and assessment would be at extra cost. The assessment would need to be taken in your own workplace using your own machine at a pre arranged time
